Where do I begin.. We acquired Koda and Shadow 2 German Shepherds because the owner could no longer take care of them. They had been running loose and had no training. They walked us and not the other way around. I looked on line and saw an advertisement for "Can Your Dog Do This?" I called and spoke with Steve and he set up an appointment the next day. We took them and he assessed them and he recommended they do the 30 day train and board. He took them on the spot. The very next day a video showed Steve walking them both on leash with no longer pulling. I can not thank Steve and amazing team enough for giving us back more structured and confident dogs!! To top it off we have support and refreshers for the life of our dogs. Highly recommend 👌 ~ Michelle B

Taking my 3 month puppy to Steve and his crew was the best decision we made. Archer used to jump on everyone and was a pain to take for walks. Now he's easy to handle on the leash and listens to commands. The board and train let us pick up a totally changed puppy. I enjoyed watching his progress with Instagram videos that were uploaded frequently. Diane, Nick, and Wendy did a wonderful job training Archer. Steve is easy to contact and ask questions. Diane showed us everything we need to know and has been extremely helpful and informative. Everyone is incredibly helpful, teaching us how to maintain a well mannered and obedient dog. We took our 7 month old GSD Günter , who was highly reactive to everything but also so sweet and smart, to CUDDT? for an evaluation. We were very much against leaving our baby for training but within 5 minutes Steve had Günter in his lap and I knew that leaving him for a 30 day training program was the RIGHT decision! We are SO happy and proud of the results!!! Günter is so well behaved we get compliments on his manners! We can take him everywhere and really enjoy the time with him. Just can’t thank Steve Diane Nick and everyone enough for transforming our baby into an amazing GSD!!! The entire staff is very knowledgeable and really care about all the dogs that they train. These guys are amazing! I inherited my mother's dog after she passed away last summer. To say this dog had some behavioral issues is an understatement! My husband and I have owned and trained many dogs, but we quickly figured out training this one was beyond our capabilities. We enrolled her in the 30 day board and train program and we have come home with a totally different dog! It was worth every penny and then some! She is calm, not barking at every little noise, not trying to escape out the front door and not being aggressive toward our hyperactive neurospicy child. I love how they post some of their training videos on their social media so we could see her progress before we started having our training sessions with her. "Can your dog do this" turned out to be better than I could've imagined for ME and my lovable doodle "Mac". We didn't start til he was 18 months because his house habits were good but we couldn't take him anywhere and we were confusing him with random instructions. WOW did that change! Steve did Mac's evaluation and knew exactly what we needed. Diane worked with us. I admit I had no confidence when we started. I quickly learned to trust her experience and expertise. It wasn't long and Mac and I were working together without issues or distractions. Now I can take him anywhere. He's a lovable dog that has learned boundaries. I am absolutely amazed at the professionalism and quality of work with my German Shepard that Steve has produced. He Has such a special way with is a with dogs. It melts my heart to see him and his Belgian malinois, Eva work together. Even after the very 1st training session my German shepherd was sitting and staying. He has built my GSD confidence to the point now, he will protect by saying one command (my dog used to be scared of his own shadow!!) I would highly recommend to anyone looking for obedience or protection training, as in my opinion Steve has been the most qualified trainer in the RTP area as well as such a passion for what he does. It still feels surreal that the dog we brought home is the same dog we dropped off. His behavior , confidence, and demeanor have all done a complete 180 in the positive direction . Before the 30 day training, we could not have our dog out with children and company. He now is a secure and confident dog that follows our commands and is calm but alert around distractions. We would have brought him when he was 10 weeks old if we could go back in time. Can your dog do this staff have been professional and caring with our boy Cinco, felt a 100% safe with our dog in the care and training. It's sad we didn't bring our first dog here years ago. He pulled us on the leash and always had us worried. It made walking him a chore and was very uncomfortable for years. After he passed, some time went by and we got a second Doberman. We finally decided to be realistic and pay a professional instead of lying to ourselves by saying we could do it. The problem was this one had a very strange anxiety problem and would literally scream at other dogs when they came near him. It took him one or two extra weeks longer than expected to train Blitz but he didn't charge us any extra and somehow pulled it off! I thought they were going to fail and I was wrong. The best part is I can say heel and he will come right beside my leg and follow me around. Miracle Workers! Would give 1000 stars if I could. ~ Matthew S

Our 3 year old German Shepherd Britta was nearly impossible to walk on a leash and was highly reactive to other dogs. Not aggressive but just wanted to play. Once distracted, she would ignore all commands. I consulted two other trainers and was still not sold on the idea. I called Can Ur Dog Do This and set up an appointment the next day. Once I saw how Britta reacted with Steve I knew this is where she needed to go. Now Britta walks on the leash great and even off leash! Hard to believe she’s the same dog! Diane, Nick and Steve were great! Doing a follow up visit Britta was really excited to see her former teachers! Can’t recommend them enough! ~ Vincent R

When I first adopted my adult Rottweiler, toby, I wasn’t sure I could keep him. He is big and much more powerful than I am. I couldn’t control him on walks at all. I was scared to take him places because he was aggressive to other dogs. But, I was lucky enough to find Steve walking a group of trainees in the park one day. I was so impressed by how well a big group of dogs was doing I decided to look him up and have a consultation. After 8 classes with Steve, Toby has been cured of his dog aggression! Steve was kind, funny, and made me feel comfortable enough to be the “alpha” to my dog so that Toby wouldn’t feel the need to be aggressive. I can’t say enough how grateful I am for Steve’s help. Now I know I can safely and easily walk Toby. It has opened a new world for us to hike and explore that we could not have done without his help. Thank you Steve! ~ Lindsey H

We recently completed a 30-day board and train for our two dogs, an Australian Shepherd and an Australian Cattle Dog mix. Our cattle dog was always reactive while on walks and it was embarrassing and anxiety-inducing to go out with her; we would take alternative routes if we were going to pass by someone else walking, just to avoid the interaction. After the board and train, it's like she's a brand-new dog - we can go to a crowded park and she is able to walk OFF LEASH without issue, she barely even looks at other dogs or people that pass by. Our Aussie was not so reactive, rather he's just stubborn and needed the extra work to drive consistent behaviors. We are tremendously happy to have found Steve and crew to help us turn things around. Special shout out to Nick for his work with our dogs and providing the training we needed as dog owners, as well. ~ Shauna B

I had a very positive experience working with Robin and Steve to train my 10 month old boxer, Pickle. Boxers can be very stubborn and hyper and thus very difficult to handle. Within 2 sessions I had a completely different dog who I was no longer afraid to take on a walk because I thought she would pull me down the road.The dog training advice and knowledge that was given to me gave me the confidence to follow through with Pickles training effectively. She is now fully off leash trained, walks by my side without pulling, has great recall, and is overall a pleasure to have in the household. I could not be happier with my experience here! I did 8 private lessons with my puppy, Frank, for basic obedience. Dianne, our trainer, is so knowledgeable and experienced. She does a great job explaining what to do and why, and also the why nots. After spending so much time with her, I'd even consider her a good friend. Everywhere we take Frank people comment on how well trained he is. He is an amazing dog, in part thanks to the work we did with Dianne. Throughout the course there is a lot of homework to do, and we started Frank young, 4 months, which makes a big difference too. So if you have a puppy and are considering training; just get started. Every day that you spend with your dog you are training them one way or another, Can UR Dog Do This will help you make sure you are training them in the right way! If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. My dog Princess (featured in some videos on instagram) came in with a ton of aggression and fear. She had no contact with anyone but me and her dad and hated people and other animals. We wouldn’t be able to take her anywhere. Now we’re able to go to the park, go on walks, to Lowe’s and she’s like a completely different dog. The work that Steve and his crew did for her is nothing short of amazing and if you’re having issues Steve is your man. 10000/10, so incredible so amazing I know my sweet girl is gonna have a much happier, more peaceful life and I couldn’t be happier. ~ Casey-Jane F

Steve and his trainers have done an incredible job with our German Shepherds. Our female was nervous, difficult to walk and train due to a previous negative training experience. Our male, a recent rescue, was fearful and aggressive to strangers. Both dogs were stubborn and difficult to train on our own. Can Ur Dog Do This took both dogs for the 30 day train and board program and retuned our dogs completely change. They are both calm, confident and obedient. They follow commands and are easy and safe to walk (off leash no less!). No more jumping on people, uncontrolled barking and aggressive behaviors. The training was worth every penny and the continued support and training after the dogs came home has been phenomenal. My only regret is that we didn’t find Steve and his trainers sooner. We found this place while at our wits end with our very high energy, anxious 6yr old beagle/hound mix. She was barking nonstop, couldn't be around other dogs, couldn't be on a leash, guarded items around the house, etc. My husband called Steve in a last attempt to help us help her. Steve had us come in for a consult that day and immediately gave us recommendations that literally changed her behaviour on the spot. We signed up for lessons and we're introduced to Diane who we worked with for 8 weeks. She taught our little anxious girl manners, how to walk nicely on a leash, how to behave when encountering other dogs, how to come when called. By our last lesson we walked through Home Depot and PetSmart with ease which was unfathomable just a few months ago. It's like we finally got the family dog we always wanted. I highly recommend Can Ur Dog Do This? for all your dog training needs. I wish we had called them years ago. ~ Stacie L

We have a 6 month old Great Dane who we needed help getting under control. She was pulling hard on her lease when we walked, jumping up on everyone and really not listening to any instructions or training. We have only had 2 private sessions and she is walking property on her leash and the jumping has minimized. We are now working on other things but she is more attentive to any training we do at home now. The guys here are great with dogs, they have lots of experience but most importantly actually care about the dogs-they took time to get to know our dog, and we are amazed at how she is responding. ~ Carlin O

We brought our 3 yr old German Shepard in with aggression issues and he came back after 30 days of boarding and training a completely different dog ! The whole staff makes you feel like you’re NOT there just to cough up money ! Denzel became really attached to his trainer and Steven made sure we got a picture of our handsome boy every few days ! He came back in great shape and I swear he doubled In size ! Denzel’s aggressions issues were extinct after two weeks of him being in their care ! The only thing that caught me off guard was the Mini educator E collar was not included in the board and train price. ~ Mariah W

Just picked up my hound mix and German Shepard from Can Your Dog Do This board and train. They stayed there for one month and I loved that we got to go every other day for the last two weeks they were there to train with them. I believe that what Steve and Nic are able to do with your dogs is truly magical. I would have never been able to have my dogs be so obedient without their dedicated work. I loved seeing the bond my dogs made with their trainers. After picking my dogs up from their last day we went to Tractor Supply to pick up dog food. I walked around the store for a minute and some lady came up to me and complimented me on how well my dog behaved. I never thought I would get a compliment on my dog’s good behavior. I feel confident in being able to bring my dogs out in public and can’t wait for all the things we will be able to do with our dogs now that they have completed this training! ~ Kaitlyn A

I can’t say enough good things about Steve and everyone else at ‘Can Ur Dog Do This? Completed a 30 day board & train with my 2 year old malinois who was pretty reactive to strangers. They took great care of Caine and worked with my family and myself to ensure consistency and success long term for him! Provided lots of exposure training in different settings, which has done wonders for the reactivity and behavior. I can now take him anywhere without any anxiety of how Caine will be. Nic and all the other trainers are fabulous and they all care greatly for the dogs they train. My only regret is not starting sooner :). ~ alison m

Adam did a fantastic job on training Riley. We did the 30 day program and I was Extremely nervous about leaving my new puppy In the hands of a stranger. Adam did a great job on helping me with my nerves. My husband and I are beyond excited we did the 30 day program. Riley went in about 16 weeks, she now 5 months and is doing amazing. It is alot of work, but so worth it. Steve did amazing as well. Any questions/ concerns he answered. They are there to make sure you are comfortable. They love animals more than most humans I have meet. They make sure you're pets are very happy and comfortable as well. ~ Jackie

I brought my lab here for the 30-day board and train program and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The improvement in his obedience and manners has been incredible—he’s so much more responsive and well-behaved now. I used to feel embarrassed taking him out in public, but now I feel confident bringing him anywhere. I also really appreciated how they followed up after bringing him home to make sure the transition was smooth and that we were staying on track. Steve and his team were incredible. We brought our extremely bonded dogs Bowser and Zelda that we were in over our heads with, one with terrible dog aggression (Zelda). She couldn't be around other dogs without immediately trying to attack them. When we first arrived for our assessment, Zelda was muzzled, and Steve immediately took it off and walked her up to a group of his trained dogs. I was having a heart attack internally, but Steve immediately corrected her, refocused her attention onto him, and she was completely calm- it was like something out of a movie. Just a small anecdote to say that these people really know what they're doing. We did a board and train with them and it was worth every penny. They educated us on not just their behavior, but their health (making sure they were the proper weight, etc.) and overall wellbeing. I highly recommend these trainers to anyone who asks and we will be taking any dog we get in the future to them. ~ Brock R
